Keyword Snatcher

I’ve had the opportunity to grab an early copy of Jonathan Ledger’s Keyword Snatcher tool and give it a test run.

As you know, keyword research is the fundamentally most important element of online marketing and particularly in affiliate marketing.

So, what does Keyword Snatcher offer that the various free and other paid keyword research tools don’t?

Firstly, let me say that Keyword Snatcher is not really competing with the likes of Keyword Elite and Market Samurai, as it doesn’t have all the in-depth analysis of competition sites.  Keyword Snatcher is a great tool to have along side these products as it approaches keyword research in a different way and can yield a rich set of keywords that other software can’t match.

If you are using the Google Adwords Keyword research tool, you’ve probably come up with results that you know are just plain wrong or seem to be missing a whole lot of keywords.   Well, you are certainly not alone.  It is quite well known just how inaccurate or plain misleading the Google Adwords Keyword tool results can be.

Even if you don’t use Google Adwords Keyword tool directly, many other websites and keyword research software use it on the backend, so you may well end up with the same skewed results.

So how does Keyword Snatcher manage to grab so many more keywords compared to other tools?   What is does is use the Google, Bing and Yahoo search suggestions to create a combined list (if you choose to query the three search engines) with their respective rankings.    Even though Keyword Ranker doesn’t display the actual number of search requests for a keyword, that doesn’t really matter, as you can get a very good idea of the potential of a keyword by looking at the search results position.

For example, if you used “blue widgets” as the base keywords to search on and you found a snatched keyword returned that was positioned in the top 5 results on Google, Yahoo and Bing, you know that is a valuable keyword as a lot of people are searching for it on the three major search engines.

The real value of Keyword Snatcher is its ability to pull out a huge list of long tail keywords for a given base keyword.   This list can then be further analysed and refined or exported to a tool like Keyword Elite or Market Samurai for further in-depth analysis.

Having all the long tail keywords is also great for writing articles, as you will be able to cover a very comprehensive set of keywords related to your niche.

Keyword Snatcher will only be available between June 21-25.  This is not a fake scarcity ploy, Jonathan wants to limit the release.
