Spintax Generator For Hyperlinks
Like a lot of marketers, I use a variety of tools and websites for generating and submitting spun articles. Software like The Best Spinner, Article Marketing Robot and blog submission sites like Article Ranks.
One task I often found to be very clumsy and prone to formatting errors, was creating links in spintax format.
I hate doing any processes manually, so I decided to create a simple tool called Spintaxer which makes the process of creating hyperlinks in spintax format a breeze.

Video Tutorial
The following video gives a brief run down of Spintaxer and how to use it with Article Marketing Robot and ArticleRanks.
Hyperlink Spintax Format
Firstly, let’s look at an example hyperlink in spintax format:
<a title="{keyword|some other keyword|another keyword}" href="http://{example.com|example.com/categories/page1.html|example.com/somepage.php}" target="_blank">{keyword|some other keyword|another keyword}</a>
If you were to create the above hyperlink spintax manually, there is the potential for getting the format wrong. Additionally, if you have a large number of links and anchor text, it can be confusing looking at the list and editing it.
Uses For Spintaxer
Spintaxer is very useful for software and submission sites that require you to have spun links.
There are some submission sites that have their own inbuilt methods for specifying spun links, but Spintaxer can still be used as alternate method on some of these sites.
The main uses I have for Spintaxer are:
Article Marketing Robot
When you are creating your article for submission via AMR, you typically add your link in the Author Resource box.
From an SEO perspective, you want both the link and anchor text to have some variation, which is why you spin the hyperlink in the first place.
The following Article Marketing Robot screenshot shows an example of how the Resource box would look with a hyperlink in spintax format.
ArticleRanks
ArticleRanks is a service which publishes your spun articles to a blog network.
While ArticleRanks does have a facility that let’s you create spun anchor text, it doesn’t have a feature that allows you to spin both the link URL and the anchor text.
This is where Spintaxer speeds up the task as well as allowing you to have spinable URLs and anchor text.
In the Article Body, you click on the HTML button in the editor, which pops up a window with the HTML source for your article. You then just paste in the hyperlink generated by Spintaxer.
The following screenshot shows an example of this:
Note that you need to select the spintax format [word1|word2] in Spintaxer so that it is the correct format for ArticleRanks.
Development
If you find Spintaxer useful, I’d really appreciate you leaving a comment or bookmarking this page.
I’d also love to hear from you if you have any suggestions for improving the tool or other uses you’ve found it.
Cheers
Thanks for this tool, I was praying that something like this existed as it was taking me ages to do by hand.
My only request is that you make the tool create links for BB Code forums.
Thanks
April
Hi April.
The Spintaxer tool has been updated to support bbcode. This will be useful for use with Auto BacklinkBomb
Hi Peter,
This is an awsome tool. Not only will it save time but like you said it will cut out all those errors that result in your hyperlink not working. Thank you for your generousity. P
Thanks Peter. Spintax does my brain in and anything that makes it easier is very welcome.
🙂

I’d really like to follow this info but the clarity of your video and pictures is not good. I blew it up to 250% and still could not read.
Thanks
Hi Scott.
I concede the video probably isn’t as clear as it could be (always a trade off with YouTube vids).
However, the screenshots should be crystal clear if you click on them a view the full sized versions.
Cheers
Peter
Peter, I have no idea why you are giving this nice tool away but if I were you, I add some additional features such as those found on the Submission Assistant and then put it up for sale. Just a thought…
Thanks for your comments Ross.
Quite happy to keep it as a free tool for now.
Perhaps if I make some enhancements in future I could make a paid for pro version 🙂

Peter
Outstanding!!! I can’t tell you what a chore it was for me to spin (properly), the resource box on a couple of rounds. I am using AMR and enjoy it very much!
Thanks Joe.
Glad you found Spintaxer to be useful for you.

Peter

Thanks so much for sharing this. I am just getting started and last week had need of this. I get really frustrated trying to keep the syntax correct and this will save me a tremendous amount of time. I am so glad to have found this and thank you for keeping it fr.ee. I am sure you could sell it to on of the services out there for a buck or two or certainly incorporate it in a spinning package.
Michael
Hi Michael.
I appreciate your feedback.
My intention is to keep Spintaxer as a free service.
I like to give something back to the community 🙂

Peter
Hi.
Thanks for the info. Before reading over here I had no idea what syntax was lol. Thanks for the heads up. Will be trying out your spinner as well.
Hi Peter,
I have a question. Say you have 10 pages, (url’s) with 1 keyword for each page. What is the best way to always use the same keyword with the same URL, but have them distributed to the many sites with Article Marketing Robot through the same article?
I hope the question is understandable!
Thanks in Advance
Marvin
Hi Marvin.
I think I understand your question (correct me if I’ve got it wrong).
So let’s say you have a site with 2 pages, eg:
http://example.com/page1 (keyword is: "my keyword")
http://example.com/page2 (keyword is: "another keyword")
Then you want to ensure that “my keyword” always links to page1 and “another keyword” always links to page2 and in your article you want to have it spun so that it randomly uses one of the link combinations.
If that is correct, then you want your spintax to look like:
Currently, the spintax that spintaxer generates will result in random URL’s and anchor text. What I’ll do is to add an option, that allows you to tie the URL to a particular piece of anchor text.
Cheers
Peter
Hello Again Peter,
Thank You very much. That is exactly what I wanted to know. I know this would not work with all sites but it seemed like a good idea if you can make a generic resource box.
I really appreciate the fast response and I will be back here often!
Marvin
Peter,
Thanks so much for creating this free tool. It’s saving me and my VA’s from having lots of headaches. If you ever decide to take it down, please make the source code available. It’s an indispensable time-saver.

Paul
Hi Paul.
